Poochie was a popular Mattel toy in the 1980s, a white poodle with pink ears and paws that wore a pair of purple sunglasses and could do extraordinary things, such as drive a car and speak.
Usually appearing as a stuffed doll or a plastic figurine with brushable ears, her line of merchandise also extended to books, stationary sets, overnight kits and bedding. There was also a special movie produced by DIC Entertainment which was released on VHS.
